Now that we’re finally in our roles and really starting to contribute, the weeks seem to fly by! This week in my role as a Territory Business Manager, I split my week in two. I spent two days in one city doing joint sales calls with one of my team members, and then spent the rest of the week in my territory working on my solo sales call.
While I was in Sacramento doing joint sales calls, I helped with a sale that resulted in incremental business this year. I was also able to leverage our customer’s wants and more than double our distribution of soups at one particular distributor.
Later in the week, I went to a food show. But this food show was unlike any other–it was held at a golf course, during a golf tournament! I was at a specific hole, and throughout the day was able to speak with almost everyone participating. It was very different than any other food show that I’ve attended.
Next week I will be meeting with more operators and following potential leads, and I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of my cohort in November!
Last weekend, two of us made it out to a pumpkin farm in Half Moon Bay, where we went through a corn maze, went pumpkin picking, and tried homemade pumpkin cider. It finally feels like Fall out on the west coast!
