Operations Management Trainee Program Week 20

It has been just over 2 months since I have stepped into the role of Production Supervisor at the Kraft Heinz Portion Control plant in Mason, OH, and I’ve had many great opportunities and lessons learned. Each day has provided me with new challenges, be it technical or leadership challenges, and taking those on has been very rewarding (not to mention a lot of fun). My responsibilities include supervising the processing of sauces, dressings, and jelly, as well as packaging jelly. So far it has been a great experience overseeing these departments and learning more about the many facets that must come together to make our tasty products. . The people who work at this location have been great at giving advice in uncertain situations, providing helpful insights to machines and processes, and just being an enjoyment to work with. Outside of day to day operations, I am continuing to work on my project that focuses on yield, primarily in the dressing department. It has been a demanding, yet valuable undertaking so far and I look forward to what’s yet to come!
