Operations Management Trainee Program Week 21

Life at the Fremont, OH plant settled down for the last month. In my role as production supervisor, I am now comfortable with more and more of the systems, processes and routines that take place on shift. Nonetheless, the pace keeps me on my toes as we undertake a 5S project for our entire department. The most exciting part of this project was the clearing out and re-purposing of the Single Serve kitchen. The before and “nearly done” are great. The new space will be repainted and used according to our current needs. Other changes in store between now and December, when I will present at corporate, include the installation of a new shadow board and the repainting of the floor to improve safety and efficiency. For now, I am excited about the changes and look forward to seeing the final result .
