Sales Management Trainee Program Week 12 2H 2016

These past two months have been quite a blur. Moving over 500 miles from Michigan to Nashville, Tennessee has been nothing short of amazing. I attended Michigan State University (Go Green!) where I studied Business with an emphasis on the Food Industry. Joining the Kraft Heinz sales team down in Nashville has accelerated my learning curve quickly. I have learned a lot about myself and the different roles within my sales office.

My current project is a deeper look into Category Management. I have been spending the last few weeks learning and mastering the different data analytics programs and understanding how to decipher the data to tell a sales story. It has been especially rewarding helping my team through different category line reviews and seeing the outcomes we have driven. It’s a rewarding feeling knowing you have impacted the business on such a high level so early on in your career.

The past week was really exciting, as I was able to have a customer facing visit and present a portion of the line review I was involved in. I was able to support my sale with data that I was able to analyze through the analytics software.

The program has been more than I expected. In a few short months, I have been able to apply important information that learned in college to real world situations. The company’s fast-paced and innovative environment has fostered new relationships and created a place where I am challenged daily. I am excited to see what the future holds with Kraft Heinz and I can’t wait to help impact our Company’s vision to be the best food company, growing a better world.
