Sales Management Trainee Program Week 20 2H 2016

It’s hard to believe that one year ago I was accepting my offer to work at The Kraft Heinz Company. If you had told me back then all that I would learn, experience and accomplish in my time here at Kraft Heinz, I would have been shocked. Upon graduating from school, I knew that I wanted a career that challenged, motivated and inspired me. That is exactly what I got here at Kraft Heinz.

Looking back on the past few months as a trainee, I am extremely grateful for all of the experiences I have had. In the beginning of the program, I was able to grow my analytical skills, as well as gain a base understanding of the business through different tools I created and implemented for my team in the West Area. My second project, a category review, helped me further understand how strong a presence KHC has with its products in their respective categories. This project allowed me to travel to the customer for the first time to present my project. Being able to own this category review and presentation is a true testament to how KHC stands behind its motto of “Owners Only.” Right now, I am working on my third and final project and looking forward to reuniting with my cohort at the end of November for our “Graduation!”

My experience as a trainee has been filled with learning opportunities inside and outside of the office. Some of my favorite “out of office” experiences included a trip to a food show in September, volunteering at a Stop Hunger Now event with my fellow trainees in October, and getting to see the Wienermobile on a customer visit in Wisconsin in November! Although I will miss being a trainee and all of its unique experiences, I am extremely excited and eager to begin my full-time role soon in December.
