What a whirlwind the last few weeks have been since graduating from Clemson University back in May! I moved all my belongings out of my small college apartment 1,000 miles away to an area of the country where I knew no one and had never even stepped foot in before, Kansas City. From there, our cohort was fortunate enough to spend 3 weeks in Chicago together learning all about the Kraft Heinz Company. Last week I was welcomed onto the AWG team in Kansas City and began training with them. I spent my first week learning all about the different roles on the team and this week I got to go out to the stores and experience merchandising and in-store selling first hand. I got to see seven stores and meet with various store managers, grocery managers, meat managers, and dairy managers. My favorite was Carl. He was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of key tips and tricks with me to make a product more desirable to the consumer!
In this photo above you can see a group of employees from the AWG Team with a few Kraft Heinz products we picked up from around the store. It was a great way to get to know a few more people from the team and familiarize ourselves even more with the thousands of KHC skus! I am excited to get started working on my data analytics project where I will be looking further into product and category performance after major holidays. I can’t wait to see what the next few months of this trainee journey has in store for me!
