It’s week three in my sales office and it feels like I’ve known my team for a lifetime! New opportunities in Parsippany have offered themselves with varying levels of challenge and excitement and every day provides new lessons. I’m certainly missing my cohort friends across the country, but I’m equally kept entertained with the new faces around KHC in New Jersey.
Given that my desk is directly in front of the Sales Championship wall, I’m constantly reminded of meritocracy and the work that’s laid out for me in my coming months – but it’s not all work and no play! I recently moved to Morristown, a beautiful little city that’s rich with culture, history, beautiful architecture and tasty restaurants. Additionally, the Morris Essex line which is a 20-minute walk from my house is a one hour train ride to NYC so I had the pleasure of visiting the city last weekend and plan on stopping by as much as possible during my stay here. I also have lots of East Coast city visits on my bucket list and plan on stopping by Boston, Cape Cod, Philadelphia, Pittsburg, and the Jersey Shore just to name a few.
I’m looking to break out of my comfort zone over the next couple of weeks and am looking to join a local professional network in Morristown and start volunteering at some capacity. I’m potentially looking to help out at the Humane Society or Habitat for Humanity so that I can meet new people and become fully immersed in this new world that I’ve wound up in.
