It’s hard to believe that the month of August is already here and gone! In my last blog post, I wrote about some of the rituals and routines that compose day-to-day life in the Walmart office, as well as some of software and systems specific to the team here. Since that last blog post, I have been able to take what I have learned and translate it into ownership and responsibility of numerous reports and projects. Each exciting opportunity comes with its own unique challenges, but is also a learning experience, opportunity to deliver results, and a chance to further develop working relationships with my coworkers.
With an aggressive Q4 ahead, I am already thinking about the coming work needed to finish out the year strong. However, this time of year outside of work marks the start of football season! My team, the Arkansas Razorbacks face off against the Florida A&M Rattlers for their first game of the season tomorrow. Our sales trainee cohort has also all come together in a fantasy football league, all in good fun of course!
I am currently looking forward to is getting back out to Chicago at the end of September for Leadership week, a cohort reunion, and project report outs. I am excited for all the events planned for the week and to hear about everyone’s time in their respective sales offices and the work they have been doing.
