Three months have passed and I have experienced more than I had ever anticipated before beginning the program. The work I’ve been given has enabled me to develop a strong grasp on both sales and category leadership, and I am only halfway through the program! So far, I have been working on two key holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Throughout the second half of the program, I will be able to see how my research and analytics influenced the promotional plans for several different retailers.
My office is out in sunny San Ramon, California, about twenty-five miles east of San Francisco. From my home in Oakland, I can walk to a BART Station and take a fifteen minute train into the city to go exploring. But if I want to go someplace a little more serene, I can drive an hour out to Napa Valley. There are endless opportunities out here, and California is nothing short of an adventure! I do not yet know where my next role with Kraft Heinz will take me, but I look forward to the ride.
