Jacksonville Portion Control is one of a few facilities in the Kraft Heinz network that produce single serve condiment packets. With over 300 SKUs, this facility is indeed a very complex facility with challenges across the board. Working at this facility has given me the opportunity to explore various intricacies that prove challenging from a materials management and production planning perspective. Opportunity is the golden word around here; with over 30 production lines and a large SKU mix, opportunity for improvement is everywhere and it’s very exciting to be a part of the team that is going after them. Due to the complexity of this facility, it is crucial to have focus and target opportunities with the most potential added value. I’m looking forward to learning more about the facility and discovering the most beneficial projects to present to the team.
