Manufacturing Management Trainee Program Week 8 2017

After being at the plant for about a month now, I’m starting to get the hang of things. I am in Dover, DE, specifically in the bakery that supplies bread to STOVE TOP and SHAKE ‘N BAKE. I have spent this time getting a better understanding of the process and developing my plan for my Yellow Belt project. I have been tasked with reducing changeover time in the bakery from 24 hours to 8 hours.

I will be implementing my project in its first stages next week, which is much faster than most but that means I will have more time to refine the process. Kraft Heinz is a fast-paced company and it truly means you will never be bored. All of my projects I am working on have direct impact on the lines and how we produce in the plant. You cannot shy away from responsibility here, but that just gives you more opportunity to shine.
